31Google Calendar integration

Every booking on the Google Calendar your team already checks.

The crew lives in Google Calendar; the jobs live on the board. Connect the two and a booked job shows up on your shop's calendar with the vehicle, service and bay — move it in either place and the other keeps up.

BetaTwo-way sync
Where it stands: The Google Calendar connection is in beta: two-way sync and per-installer calendars work today, opt-in per shop via a secure Google sign-in. Expect the occasional rough edge while it matures.

Why connect Google Calendar

Every booking on the calendar your team already checks.

Booked jobs appear on your shop's Google Calendar with the vehicle, service and bay. Move a job on the board and the calendar follows — and vice-versa.

  • Jobs push to Google Calendar

Each booked job lands on the calendar with the vehicle, service and bay attached — the whole crew sees the day without opening another app.

  • Two-way, so nothing drifts

Drag a job on the Service VIN board or move it in Google Calendar — both update. One schedule, not two that quietly disagree by Friday.

  • Per-installer calendars

Every installer sees their own day on the calendar they already carry, so there's no confusion about who's on which car.

  • Time-off flows back

Blocks and time off you put on the calendar flow back to the job board, so you don't book a bay for someone who isn't in.

What you can do once it's connected

  • Jobs push to Google Calendar with vehicle + service
  • Two-way: drag on the board or in Calendar, both update
  • Per-installer calendars so everyone sees their day
  • Blocks and time-off flow back to the job board

How it works

Connected in a couple of clicks

  1. 1

    Connect Google Calendar in settings

Sign in to Google and authorize Service VIN from the integrations settings. It's a per-shop connection with least-privilege access you can revoke in one click.

  2. 2

    Bookings appear automatically

New and existing jobs push onto the calendar with the vehicle, service and bay. Assign an installer and it shows on their calendar too.

  3. 3

Move it anywhere — both stay in step

Reschedule on the board or in Google Calendar; the change syncs both ways. Time off on the calendar flows back so the board never double-books an absent tech.

FAQ

Google Calendar integration, answered

Does Service VIN sync with Google Calendar?

Yes — a two-way Google Calendar connection is available in beta. Booked jobs push to your shop's Google Calendar with the vehicle, service and bay, and moving a job on the Service VIN board or in Google Calendar updates the other. It's an opt-in, per-shop connection you authorize with a secure Google sign-in.

Can each installer see just their own jobs?

Yes. Per-installer calendars mean each tech sees their own day on the calendar they already check, while you keep the full board in Service VIN. Assign a job to an installer and it appears on their calendar automatically.

If someone books time off, will the board know?

Yes — blocks and time off on the connected calendar flow back to the job board, so the schedule won't drop a bay booking on a tech who isn't in. The database-level bay guard still prevents two jobs from landing in the same bay at once.

Do you support Outlook or Microsoft 365 calendars too?

Yes — the same two-way scheduling sync is available for Outlook / Microsoft 365 in beta, so teams on Microsoft get per-installer calendars and drag-to-reschedule the same way.
